Lucy Likes...Common Courtesy.
"Don't forget your please and thank you's" a sentence which would appear from my Mum every time I would go to a friends house when I was younger. One which in a way has impacted me. Because I don't. Which, ok sounds pretty up myself but I don't, if someone helps me or just does something genuinely nice forme I will always say thank you, no matter who or where it was. I for one hate it when people don't say thank you or please. Not only face to face but in other situations too,I'm referring to when you're in a car, you wait for someone to be able to pass and they drive on past without a thank you, all they have to do is simply raise their hand, yet they can't do it. Why not? Why should they forget to say thank you? If I hold a door open for someone and they don't say thank you I'm inclined to say "FINE THEN" but of course I don't as that defeats the whole object of being nice in the first place. In a way it could be seen as one of my flaws, I will always pick up on people who forget to be polite, and it will always annoy me, but then again it reminds me to always be polite. So Lucy really does Like...Common Courtesy.

There is something about tortoises, they are all old men. Whether they are 2 weeks old or 80 they all resemble old men. Its probably their slowness, infact it is their slowness, and the fact they live till a crazy age, the way in which they slowly draw their head out of their shells, the way the eat ever so carefully. I would love one as a pet, i think being able to pass a pet down through generations of a family is a lovely idea. Tommy has been passed down three generations, he has seen it all, lived in more places than me and is still going strong. I have had the pleasure of meeting him on many occasions. I have seen him strut his stuff around Wifey's garden, try and escape and be the talk of the party. Lucy Likes...Tommy.

Lucy Likes...Her Constant Happiness.
So if someone were to describe a girl who is constantly happy i would conjure up an image of this annoying, bouncey, blonde girl with rosie read cheeks and pigtails, possibly wearing dungarees. A girl who would get on my nerves after being around her for only 5 minutes. Yet Splatts is different. She manages to maintain her constant happiness without being over the top in your face im so happy and you're not. I'm not sure how she does it, i'm not sure anyone knows how. Her own Mother has asked her why she is never sad. But i think it's because she has an ability to always look at the brighter side of life, for her there truely is a silver lining to every cloud. Her loudness and smiles fill up a room. One of my favourite memories of Splatts is one of the day of the Royal Wedding. We had been to a party the night before, a party which had ended in many injuries, a friend with a constantly bleeding toe, someone with grazed knees, and Splatts with a grazed shoulder. I'm not sure what actually happend but i know a face-plant and a pavement were involved. I had gathered the Shindiggers together for a teaparty, Splatts being the last to arrive turned up in the same dress she was wearing the night before, her hair was in the same style, she had clearly gone to sleep and not changed, but in one of her cheery moods. Even when she was feeling hungover, had little hours of sleep and was...well how can i put it grubby she still managed to keep the happiness levels up and make us all laugh. So for all of these reasons Lucy Likes...Her Constant Happiness.

Lucy Likes..Starting A Blog.
So yes, the title to my blog is very clichéd and unoriginal, but i'm sure i have heard, or read somewhere, that in life that nothing is truly original, and all ideas originate from previous ones, only slightly altered. Maybe that was something i learnt in an art lesson once, i'm not sure. Anyway i thought i would take this moment to apologize in advance for my appauling English, yes i am taking it for A level, so in theory i should be quite adequate with my grammar and punctuation but unfortunately i am not. Luckily Google Chrome lovingly decided to give me spell check so hopefully my rubbish spelling will not make an appearance during any of my blogs. I'm not sure what really made me decide to do this, it might have been a recent open day at a university where i was told people who succeed really put themselves out there, not that this is really putting myself out there but i like to think its a start. Perhaps it was through reading my sisters blogs, i don't know but here i am sat writing my first ever blog, and yes i can conclude, Lucy Likes starting a blog.
